A project was carried out to remodel a shelter/pavilion at Jesse Fowler Smith Memorial State Forest. This included re-roofing the shelter. The shelter is now used for camping and recreation by The Town of Suffield.

From Troop 174 Website: "Their project was to design, plan, fundraise, and build a GaGa pit at Latimer Lane. GaGa is a game played with a ball that uses an octagonal pit with 3ft high walls. It took 4 months to complete the project." Approvals came from the principal of Latimer Lane, for allowing the project to move forward and for his help in gaining approvals needed from the school district’s business office. A lumber company was also incredibly helpful in obtaining the cedar lumber required for the project."
