I ran a toy drive for Shriners’ Children Hospital in St. Louis. At Shriners’, patients receive free surgeries. A long standing tradition is that the child has a toy to come back to after surgery to keep their mind of pain and the surgery during the initial recovery process.

I cleaned and completed beautification around the memorial for the veterans in the Gilbert Cemetery. I cleaned the memorial, layed rock around the memorial, and transplanted peonies in the rock. I also cleaned and re-stained the signs along the road by the cemetery.

Jake completed his Eagle Scout Project by designing and installing two metal benches with large concrete foundations at the Bird Street Conservation Area in Stoughton. Strategically placed in scenic locations, these benches provide a welcoming place for hikers to rest and enjoy the natural surroundings.
